Austin Startup Wink Coffee Grows 350 Percent Amid Shutdown, Projects More Than $1 Million In Sales In 2021

Since the shutdown in April 2020, Wink’s sales have increased more than 350 percent and sales are projected to hit more than $1 million in 2021. “What started as a side hobby in fall 2019 has since quickly turned into a thriving business,” says Jayson Rapaport, who co-owns Birds Barbershop, which keeps him plenty busy. “With such a diverse team and supportive small business community behind us, we think Wink Coffee will be the next coffee brand success story to come out of Austin. ”

Coffee Startup Bruvi Raises $2 Million

Beverly Hills-based Bruvi, a designer and manufacturer of single-serve coffee makers started by a former top executive at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, has raised $2.2 million in seed money. 

Coffee Manufacturer Building $56M Headquarters In Seguin

Coffee Tech Industries will build its headquarters on a 33-acre site south of U.S. Interstate 10 between 8th Street and Guadalupe Street in Seguin. Constructing on the manufacturing facility, where coffee will be processed, dried and bulk packaged, is slated to begin late this year with operations commencing by 2022, Seguin’s Economic Development Corporation said.
