Merlo celebrates Australia with January’s Bean of the Month: Byron Blue Estate – Emu Tree Paddock

Merlo is celebrating all things Australian this January, with the selection of the Byron Blue Estate – Emu Tree Paddock as their famed Bean of the Month. As most Aussies give the flag, the ‘Roo, the Rock and the wide brown land a nod and a thumbs up during January, Merlo is shining the spotlight on a new harvest of unique Australian grown coffee.

With tasting notes of marzipan and a good dose of fruit notes, our Byron Blue Estate – Emu Tree Paddock is a must try true blue brew – and what better month to try it then January, when we celebrate Australia Day with gusto!

Byron Blue Estate is committed to ecological sustainability and over the last 3 years, 3000 native flowering trees and shrubs have been planted, shading and protecting the coffee and creating wild life corridors.

The specific lot Merlo has for January is fully washed and mechanically dried, creating a very well processed coffee. The crop was harvested in September and only SL28 varietal (originating from Kenya) is used on the farm.
