Recent placements of 2-ounce recyclable tins of the candy range from the Mexico Pavilion at Disney’s Epcot Center, Biltmore Estate gift shop, Macy’s Chicago-area stores, and additional regional specialty retailers to the gluten free section of select Piggly Wiggly stores, said Torie Burke, company co-founder. In addition, Supervalue International is carrying the organic hard candy with an initial placement at Rustan’s Supercenters in the Philippines. The candy now is being sold by Sun Organism and Breeze Super in Taiwan through Preamax Trading, Burke said.
The Disney placement is through Swiss Connections, Punta Gorda, Fla., Biltmore Estate through First Source, Toano, Va., and Macy’s is direct. The organic hard candy now is available regionally at Baron’s Market and Lunardi’s in California; Metropolitan Markets, Washington, and Dierbergs Markets, Missouri, through UNFI of Providence, R.I. The candy is USDA organic and kosher certified and contains no GMOs, preservatives, artificial dyes, casein, soy or gluten, Burke said.
