Common Ground.
Small batch, big ideas.
Common Ground Coffee opened its doors in July of 2012. Specialising in small batch artisanal coffee, the roastery was founded by father daughter duo Sasha Krivitsky and Jacqui Alexander.
With over 20 years of roasting experience, which began in Italy during migration from Russia to Australia, Sasha finally turned a passion into an enterprise when he joined forces with Jacqui, who as brand manager created the identity behind the brand.
Formally of lifestyle brand, Skinny Nelson, Melbourne born Alexander wanted to create a brand of coffee that would form unforgettable experience and bond with the drinker. At 24, her dream was to create more than just a coffee brand. To create something that would embody the coffee culture of the city that nurtured her love of coffee and has inspired so many.
Both father and daughter have curated a coffee menu that includes hand- crafted blends and distinct single origin coffees sourced from around the world.
“We knew we were getting into a busy market place at the outset and wanted to create something that would stand out.”
Combining a beautiful aesthetic, see the iconic aqua coffee bags, with the finest coffee has built the remarkable brand experience that’s got the coffee community around Melbourne talking.
“We continue to create coffee we love and share it in a way that inspires us and hopefully inspires others.”
The local roastery, which serves as espresso bar and coffee retail space alike, is nestled in the heart of Ormond.
“We’re in our own little bubble here which is great for incubating and developing our ideas.”
Already fuelling the coffee lust of Melbourne bay-siders Common Ground Coffee will be available at premium retailers early in 2013.
