Server Products Launches ConserveWell™ on Eve of World Water Day

87730Richfield, WI (January 29, 2014) – To coincide with the observance of World Water Day on March 22nd, Server Products is excited to launch a new piece of equipment that will help foodservice operators conserve water and save money. Server worked closely with a large national restaurant chain to develop a solution to replace the traditional dipper well perpetual-flow sink. Dipper wells are used to rinse and protect service utensils against bacteria growth but may use as many as 30 to 60 gallons of water per hour and are considered by many not to be environmentally friendly. The result of this collaboration is Server’s new ConserveWell™ service utensil holder. The unit holds utensils above 140°F, keeping them safe from bacteria growth without the use of perpetual flowing water, thereby saving hundreds of thousands of gallons of water per year, not to mention the cost savings associated with water use and disposal.

Water conservancy is a major environmental concern for foodservice operators. Not only is it generally considered morally responsible to be good stewards of Earth’s natural resources such as water, but it also makes good business sense. Foodservice uses a lot of water in food preparation, cooking and cleaning, and operators pay for both the consumption and the disposal. Utilizing operational practices that minimize the use of water is not only good for the environment but has a big impact on the bottom line.

Long recognized as a leader in portion-controlled dispensing and point-of-use holding of ambient, chilled and heated products, Server has a complete line of innovative dispensing and holding solutions perfect for any operation.
