The New York Foundling and COFFEED Launch Cafe Partnership in Chelsea
GRAND OPENING FEBRUARY 26, 2015
WHAT: The New York Foundling has partnered with COFFEED to open a socially conscious coffee shop—and the pair is celebrating with a grand opening on February 26. Free coffee and food samples from new chef Corey Cova will be handed out during the all-day community celebration.
This unique partnership is a great example of a charitable organization offering a for-profit company valuable opportunities. The Foundling has leased its retail space on Sixth Avenue to COFFEED at a reduced rate, while 10 percent of the cafe’s beverage and 5 percent of its food sales will go directly to the charity to support its many programs and services for some of the city’s most vulnerable youth.
