Beyond Fair Trade by Mark Pendergrast tells an inspirational story of transformation fueled by coffee. In it we see how powerful just a few people can be in creating lasting economic and societal change. Doi Chaang Coffee Company is the result of a unique partnership between Canadian businessman John Darch of Vanouver, BC and Wicha Promyong, the wise and almost mystical Thai entrepreneur. I was privileged to meet these two visionaries and experience firsthand the success this partnership has generated. This story is another shining example of the power of change and is a great read!
