January 2017 – The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is delighted to announce that BWT water+more has been appointed headline sponsor of the World of Coffee event for the third year in a row, continuing a successful partnership that began in Gothenburg. The 2017 event will take place in the capital of Hungary 13-15 June.
Taking place in the stunning city of Budapest, World of Coffee is a very special event on the European coffee calendar featuring over 200 of the world’s most innovative coffee industry suppliers, three full days of competitions, the Re:co Symposium, seminars, educational workshops and a packed social and networking programme.

Celebrating its 17th anniversary, World of Coffee is the definitive coffee show, attracting the industry’s most influential producers, suppliers and professionals who gather at the event to meet existing and potential buyers, promote their products and learn about the latest trends and developments in the sector.
Following the overwhelming success of World of Coffee Dublin, SCA is really looking forward to bringing the event to the Hungarian capital.
Innovation within the Coffee Industry
This event is all about strategic development within the industry, leading innovation and high level discussions and there is a full programme of activities in the pipeline including Re:co Symposium, where leaders & thinkers gather to engage with coffee’s biggest opportunities and challenges.
Given the huge success of the Seminar Rooms in Dublin’s World of Coffee, once again there will be two seminar rooms, one dedicated to coffee science while the other to the business of coffee.
The Sustainability Forum will be a discussion platform for the economic, environmental and social challenges that the industry faces with regard to sustainability.
The Cupping Room is always a great success and there will be coffee cuppings every day through the event.
Championships and the New Product of the Show Awards
There is so much else going on including five thrilling competitions – World Brewers Cup, World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, World Cup Tasters Championship and New Product of the Show Awards, a popular feature of the event. The Awards are open to exhibitors at World of Coffee Budapest who have introduced a new product or service to the market since June 2016 or will launch a new product at this year’s show. The standard for these awards has always been extremely high and it is very prestigious to win.
The World of Coffee event is one of the highlights within the industry and brings thousands of coffee professionals and those from beyond the core coffee community from across the globe together for a three-day celebration of coffee each June.
