The latest addition to the Cosy Tea range is all new Cosy Organic Matcha, it’s the tea your menu has been crying out for. Cosy Organic Matcha is as versatile as it is delicious and makes a great addition to juices, smoothies and frappés as well as being served more traditionally as a tea, latte or a shot.
Cosy Organic Matcha is a ¬finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. It is Matcha in its pure form and high in ¬ fibre and protein and like the rest of the Cosy range it’s 100% Organic; meaning nothing has been added or taken away. It has a fresh grassy flavour and is the purest way to get your green tea boost. When you brew a Cosy Lemon Green Tea or Jasmine Green Tea, the leaves are infused with hot water and then removed in the form of the tea bag. With Cosy Organic Matcha you are consuming the actual leaves which have been finely powdered, so you’re getting even more green tea goodness in every sip.
Matcha is also caffeinated which is well worth remembering, a half teaspoon of this, mixed into a morning beverage, and you’re in for a gentle and long-lasting caffeine boost. As you are ingesting the whole leaves you will get more caffeine than a cup of tea! But you don’t have to be concerned about caffeine jitters as Matcha contains l-theanine which is known to have a calming and relaxing effect. Matcha aficionados say it keeps you calmly alert for a sustained period rather than the sometimes jittery caffeine high a coffee can deliver.
Preparing a Cosy Organic Matcha Latte couldn’t be simpler. Just whisk ½ teaspoon of Matcha with a splash of hot water very well to ensure there are no lumps. Then top with freshly steamed milk for a creamy, fresh tasting drink. But the possibilities are endless with Matcha with it working as an added extra for smoothies, juices and frappés or even in food preparation. Its remarkable visual appeal and fresh, vegetal taste will keep customers coming back for more.
Cosy Organic Matcha is available in cases of 12, 100g packs. Each pack contains approximately 40 servings. All the teas in the Cosy Tea range have been approved by the Organic Trust and the black teas are approved by the Fairtrade Foundation and are all suitable for vegetarians and vegans by The Vegan Society.
