Watch the SAM Doug Aitken “Mirror” Unveiling at a Distinct Destination in a Busy World.

Seattle Washington — On Monday, March 18 Café Fonté is receiving a nip and tuck that will allow guests to choose their experience and match their time frame. The Café will close for one day only and reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19.  For that one Café-less day, an espresso cart will shine outside, like a beacon to those in need, from 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
“Even when partaking in something as social as a cup of coffee or a meal, the world pushes everyone to move faster and accomplish more.  The change will more clearly separate the Café and the coffee bar, allowing quick stops for Fonté coffee lovers on the clock, and adding more seating for those who’ve found the time to sit, sip and savor,” states owner Paul Odom.
And on March 24, Fonté’s neighbor, the Seattle Art Museum, will be hosting a free (with ticket from SAM) street party at 6:30 p.m. along First and Union Streets, celebrating the new Doug Aitken art installation on SAM’s façade. There will be music and food trucks, but more importantly, you can watch the shenanigans all day long from the comfort of Fonté with a latte in hand.
Café Fonté has been a distinct destination since 2009, showcasing top coffees from around the globe, market-fresh dishes, charcuterie and cheeses, and  a wide variety of wines and spirits.
