March 6, 2014, New York, NY – The Rainforest Alliance announced that nine companies will highlight new commitments to Rainforest Alliance certification at Natural Products Expo West, the nation’s largest tradeshow in natural, organic and healthy products. This year’s expo will feature a total of 28 companies showcasing products featuring the Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM seal, reflecting an uptick in company commitments to sustainable sourcing.
“We are pleased that our green frog seal will be so well-represented at Expo West, which provides an important platform for companies to highlight their commitment to sustainability,” said Alex Morgan, senior manager of sustainable agriculture at the Rainforest Alliance. “We are seeing more and more companies commit to Rainforest Alliance certification, recognizing it as a valuable tool to conserve natural resources and support farming communities while ensuring the future supply of key crops.”
Aloha Bay announced the launch of candles featuring palm wax from Rainforest Alliance Certified palm plantations. Consumers can now spot the green frog seal on the Aloha Jar candle line as well as white taper candles and white tea lights. Aloha Bay is exhibiting at booth number 1320.
Califia Farms announced the launch of its new single-serve iced coffees made with beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. The new line of dairy-free and soy-free cold brewed iced coffees come in three exotic flavors; Salted Caramel, XX Espresso, and Cocoa Noir and are available in regional Whole Foods stores across California. Califia Farms is exhibiting at booth number 5683.
CLIF® Bar announced that all of its flavors containing cocoa ingredients are now made with sustainably grown cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Each of those bars carries the green frog seal on packaging. CLIF® Bar is exhibiting at booth number 2850.
Endangered Species Chocolate announced the launch of six filled chocolate bars featuring cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. The green frog seal can be found on each of the six new flavors; Almond Butter Crème Filled Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt & Lime Crème Filled Dark Chocolate, Coconut Crème Filled Dark Chocolate, Blueberry Vanilla Crème Filled Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Orange Crème Filled Dark Chocolate and Mint Crème Filled Dark Chocolate. Endangered Species Chocolate is exhibiting at booth number 2950.
Marley Coffee announced the launch of three new blends made using beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms; Smile Jamaica, the first authorized Jamaican Blue Mountain blend in North America, Catch a Fire, a chili flavored coffee, and Spiced Root Rum, a Jamaican rum inspired coffee. Marley Coffee is exhibiting at booth number 5189.
NibMor announced the launch of Daily Dose of Dark Extreme, 60 Count Pack, featuring 80 percent cocoa content sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Consumers can now spot the green frog seal on packaging. NibMor is exhibiting at booth number 2316.
The Republic of Tea announced the launch of four new teas made using leaves grown on Rainforest Alliance Certified farms; Moringa SuperHerb Tea, Peppermint Bark Tea, Nilgiri Frost Tea and Lemon Lime Black Iced Tea. Consumers can spot the green frog seal on each of these blends. The Republic of Tea is exhibiting at booth number 3938.
Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker announced that 100 percent of the cocoa used in all Scharffen Berger chocolate products is now sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Consumers will soon be able to find the green frog seal on packaging. Scharffen Berger is exhibiting at booth number 2572.
Teatulia Organic Teas announced the launch of two new blends made using tea grown on their own Rainforest Alliance Certified tea garden; Oolong and Ginger Green Tea. Consumers can now spot the green frog seal on packaging. Teatulia is exhibiting at booth number 5261.
