CoffeeCon NY is taking place at Industry City, 220 36th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232 on June 4, 2016 featuring NY’s finest specialty roasters tasting side by side, the latest consumer coffee equipment, coffee Kickstarter projects, with classes on almost every coffee topic and top industry speakers and panels.
CoffeeCon is proud to bring this exclusively consumer coffee event to Brooklyn for its second year in New York and its eighth event nationwide. Coffee Con will feature speakers Jim Schulman, Top Water Expert and Home Espresso Enthusiast, as well as Turgay YILDIZLI, 2014 World Cezve Ibrik Champion teaching Turkish Coffee as specialty. Classes include Grinding, Water, brewing with Chemex, AeroPress, Siphon, French Press, Espresso, Latte Art, Cupping and Home Roasting. Panels include Sustainability and The Future of Coffee.

CoffeeCon was started by coffee author of The Art & Craft of Coffee and Coffee Companion blogger Kevin Sinnott, in 2011 with its first event ever February 25, 2012. Since then CoffeeCon has traveled to Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles becoming a roving coffee festival with a growing reputation of speaking to the consumers need to have their own coffee festival and brewing university.
