Web site offers retail and wholesale shopping, plus coffee subscriptions

Jim Whitney - PressRelease032916Park City, UT (March 28, 2015)– Today, Hugo Coffee Shop owner Claudia McMullin made several major announcements about Hugo Coffee Roasters, her new small-batch coffee roasting company based in Park City, Utah:

New Retail Packaging:
Hugo Coffee Roasters’ 12 oz. coffee bags are now used for all orders. Said McMullin, “We’re thrilled to offer our high-quality roasts in beautiful high-quality bags. Hugo Coffee tastes as good as it looks.”

The colorful bags have a distinct, branded design with varying bright colors and playful patterns to distinguish each of the blends and single origin roasts. “The response to the packaging has been overwhelmingly positive. Even the company that printed them liked them so much they asked if they could feature them at this season’s coffee and natural products trade shows,” said McMullin.

Flavor Profile Statements for Signature Blends:
Flavor profile statements for each of Hugo’s blends were released today as follows:

“BONAFIDE” DARK ROAST – dark fruit, creamy, baker’s chocolate
Comprised of our unique blend of Brazilian and Colombian beans with nice tannic acidity, Bonafide is tasty, dependable and pleasing. Pour it to everyone’s satisfaction, and make an extra pot while you’re at it because they’ll be back for more. A bold and round coffee built for everyone’s cup. Rich flavor. Big mouth feel. The staple of what coffee is.

“NEW TRICK” LIGHT ROAST – bright, sweet, playful
Different, exciting and aggressive, it’s not the “normal” coffee sitting in your cabinet right now. It’s lightly roasted to leave in more of the beans’ natural flavors and more of the caffeine. What is coffee? What can it be? Take this Costa Rican/Brazilian blend home and begin the journey. As its name suggests and in the tradition of coffee’s third wave, New Trick is an edgy blend designed for the adventurous coffee explorer.

“DOWNWARD DOG” DECAF – full-body joy
Designed for those who love the taste and ritual of coffee, but are done with caffeine for the day. Thoughtful bean selection, a unique natural decaffeination process, and careful roasting yield a delightfully strong decaf without the typical burnt, smoky, chemical decaf taste. Relax, rejoice, repeat. With caramel, coca and banana bread flavors, this intensely palatable coffee just happens to be decaf.

“HOWLER” ESPRESSO – baker’s chocolate, sweet dates, toffee
A meticulous blend of Colombian and Brazilian beans, Howler sits in your mouth with big body and bold, rich flavor for espressos and espresso drinks that will get your attention and win your affection. On the darker side. On the richer side. Deep and traditional. Specially roasted for use with espresso machines.
