Celebrate cafe culture at the first annual Toronto Coffee & Tea Expo

Starting on Saturday April 8th 2017, 2,000 coffee and tea lovers will come together at the first annual two-day Toronto Coffee & Tea Expo. Attendees will fill up The Glass Factory at 99 Sudbury Street to celebrate Toronto’s best indie cafés with fresh brewed samples while discovering new beans and recipes from up to 40 cafés, roasters, sommeliers, blenders and retail stores. Expo attendees will watch renowned Toronto latte artist Brian Leonard (aka @BaristaBrian) demonstrate how to create epic latte art by immortalizing Toronto’s most recognizable faces in portraits of latte foam and have the chance to taste Toronto’s best cup of coffee of 2017, judged by local celebrity food and drink experts in the expo’s first best cup competition.

On Sunday, April 9th, tea lovers will immerse themselves into café culture by blending their own tea flavours with Certified Tea Sommelier, one of the first fifteen in Canada, Raelene Gannon, who will teach attendees to create their own tea flavours with a colourful assortment of unique ingredients like organic lemon peel, rose petals and licorice root.
