Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee Packs a Punch with Comfort Foods.

Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer teams up with new distributor for his whole bean, organic coffee line.

BOSTON, MA (May 1, 2013) Joey Kramer, drummer for the Boston-bred rock sensation Aerosmith, is pleased to announce his new partnership with Comfort Foods, Inc. who now will roast, package and distribute his whole bean, organic coffee line: Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee.
Kramer, a coffee-loving Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer, started Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee last year after the trail to find the perfect brew went cold. Through his insatiable thirst for a chart-topping java, the idea for Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee was born and Kramer quickly set out to make his dream a delicious reality. After traveling the world and hitting the presses, Kramer expertly developed a trio of sustainable coffees: two Dark roasts, from Sumatra and Ethiopia; and, a Dark-Medium, hailing from Guatemala.
With his new partner, Comforts Foods, Kramer is about to amplify Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee…across the country. In the past, Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee has been available exclusively online, in small batches, but with the support of Comfort Foods, Kramer will soon bring his “coffee-seuir” swagger to the masses with an upcoming announcement of where to find his signature brews at wholesalers, grocers and retailers.
While meeting the needs for an increase in roasting, packaging and distribution, Comfort Foods also will bring forth a revamped product that packs enhanced flavors, improved packaging, broader accessibility and new organic brews to consumers. Comfort Foods’ impressive facilities, their attentiveness to whole bean preparation and state of the art roasting practices made it the natural choice for Kramer, whose top priority was finding a partner where his brand could expand without compromising his high quality standards.
Says Kramer, Founder of Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee, “The facilities and processes that Comfort Foods brings to the table are truly unmatched. Their commitment and focus on producing a top quality product is something that really caught my attention and I look forward to working with them to further perfect my Rockin’ & Roastin’ brews while getting it onto the shelves of retailers and into the hands of consumers.”
Adds Steve Beattie, CEO of Comfort Foods, Inc., “Comfort Foods is extremely excited about the partnership with Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee. It’s a pleasure to be teaming up with someone such as Joey Kramer who has such a great passion for superior, organic Arabica coffee.  Excellent results happen when both parties are really committed to a product, as in this case.”
Comfort Foods, Inc.’s organic-certified roasting facility, packaging plant and distribution center is based in North Andover, MA.
ABOUT ROCKIN’ & ROASTIN’ COFFEE:
Joey Kramer of Aerosmith is a coffee-loving Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer. The story of Joey Kramer’s Rockin’ & Roastin’ organic, custom-roasted coffee blends begins in the field. Unlike “sun grown” coffee that’s cheaper to produce but requires chemical fertilizers and pesticides and leads to the destruction of native rainforests, Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee is lovingly cultivated using the traditional “shade grown” method, under a canopy of indigenous trees. This sustainable practice supports a wide diversity of plant and animal life, provides food and shelter to migrating birds, and helps to filter carbon dioxide from the air, reducing the danger of global warming. There is currently a trio of international blends offered: two Dark roasts, from Sumatra and Ethiopia; and, a Dark-Medium, hailing from Guatemala.
