Andrew Bowman Wins 2014 Roasters Choice Competition at The 26th Annual SCAA Event
LONG BEACH, Calif. U.S.A. (May 1, 2014) — Andrew Bowman of Tony’s Coffee in Bellingham, WA has been named the winner of the Roasters Guild’s 2014 Roasters Choice Competition, which took place April 24-27, 2014 in Seattle, WA at SCAA’s 26th Annual Exposition. The annual Roasters Choice Competition is designed to highlight the art and craft of coffee roasting. To compete in the challenge, members of the Roasters Guild submitted roasted coffee that they chose to represent and highlight their roasting skills. Selected in advance of the Exposition, the top 6 coffees were showcased at the annual event. The coffees were served to Exposition attendees at the Brew Bar in the United States Coffee Championships Arena. The roasted coffee that earned the top score, as determined by a panel of judges during The Event, has been named the winner. The winner of this competition was presented with a trophy and will receive the grand prize of an all-inclusive trip to the 2014 Roasters Guild Retreat, made possible by the generous support of the Roasters Choice sponsor UTZ Certified.
