Region VIII Exporter of the Year 2014 Award

Wyoming – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will honor Offero, LLC and owner Mitch Bangert, not once but twice on May 13th at the Saratoga Platte Valley Chamber business after hours event at the Platte Valley Community Center in Saratoga. Matt Varilek, SBA Region VIII Administrator will present the SBA 2014 Region VIII Small Business Exporter of the Year and the 2014 Wyoming Small Business Exporter of the Year awards.

“Offero is a terrific example of a rural-based company that has found a way to export their patented glassware/ceramic coffee cups to countries around the globe,” said Matt Varilek, SBA Regional Administrator. “They did it by innovating and creating a unique product. The company also took advantage of our business counseling services provided by the Small Business Development Center.”

The SBA Small Business Exporter of the Year award is given to businesses at the district, regional and national levels that demonstrate excellence in various aspects of exporting, including increased sales, profits and/or employment due to exporting; creative overseas marketing strategies; effective solutions to export-related problems; and providing encouragement and assistance to other small businesses that are pursuing exporting.

The National Small Business Week awards are one of the highlights of the SBA’s National Small Business Week celebration that will be held nationwide from May 12th through May 16.
