Sen. Jerry Moran’s Visit to Treat America
John Mitchell Welcomes Senator to Facility in Lenexa, Kansas
(CHICAGO) June 4, 2013 – U.S. Senator for Kansas visited Treat America’s facility yesterday in Lenexa.
“It’s always good to visit thriving Kansas businesses like Treat America Food Services and learn more about their operations,” Sen. Moran said. “Established 20 years ago with only eight employees, Treat America now boasts 1,200 and leads the food services industry in developing innovative technologies focused on consumer demand and healthy options. During the tour, Treat America President and NAMA Board Member John Mitchell, Jr. and I had the opportunity to discuss issues affecting the industry and how the association is working to address them.”
John Mitchell, Jr., NCE, a member of the Board of Directors of NAMA and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, is the second generation of his family to operate Treat America, Ltd., which provides full service vending and office coffee programs in Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Omaha and Des Moines.
Founded in 1936, NAMA is the national association representing the $42 billion U.S. vending and refreshment services industry. With more than 1800 member companies – including many of the world’s most recognized brands – NAMA provides advocacy, education and research for its membership.
