Jim Durkin and Joe Lyons Join Board of Community Coffee Company

Baton Rouge, LA – Today, Community Coffee Company announced the elections of Jim Durkin and Joe Lyons to its Board of Directors. They join six other members of this 97-year-old, family-owned and operated coffee company.

Jim Durkin is Vice President of Operations at Blommer Chocolate, Chicago, IL. Blommer Chocolate is the largest cocoa processor and ingredient chocolate supplier in North America. Prior, Durkin spent 32 years with Kraft Foods in numerous operations and engineering roles. Most recently, he was Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain for Oscar Mayer. At Kraft, Durkin brought a focus to step change improvement of the manufacturing base resulting in significant cost reduction and upgrade of the manufacturing technology. Durkin has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Joe Lyons is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Barr Brands International, Memphis, TN. Lyons has over 18 years of financial and operations experience managing businesses from start-ups to billion dollar global enterprises in service and manufacturing industries, including extensive international operations in China, Hong Kong, Europe and Japan. At Barr Brands, Lyons is responsible for all global finance, accounting and IT functions, and oversees the company’s strategic planning. Lyons has a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University.
