Stop Everything: Starbucks Just Dropped a New Piña Colada Drink | Shape Magazine
In case you were already over Starbucks’ new iced tea flavors that launched earlier this month, we’ve got good news for you. The coffee giant just released a brand-new piña colada drink that promises to take your love for summer to new heights.
Officially dubbed the Teavana Iced Piña Colada Tea Infusion, this new beverage is the perfect blend of black teas and creamy coconut milk, giving it a refreshing piña colada flavor without the alcohol. “Like summer in a cup,” Starbucks described the drink in the press release, noting that you can enjoy the beverage on its own or add it to any other Teavana drinks they offer. “The fruit and botanical blends of pineapple, peach citrus, and strawberry are created to mix and match with any Teavana iced tea,” they said in the release. “Strawberry white tea, peach citrus black tea, pineapple green tea, strawberry passion tango tea … the possibilities are endless!” Like all of Starbucks’ other Teavana teas, this particular infusion is free of artificial sweeteners and flavors.
If you like piña coladas (and getting caught in the rain; sorry, we had to) this brew will be available all year long starting today. That will definitely come in handy during the long winter months.
The beverage clocks in at just 80 calories, 25 of which are from fat along with 15 grams of sugar. And for those of you looking for the perfect morning buzz, a Grande or 16-oz cup of the summery drink has about 25mg of caffeine, giving the perfect kick needed to beat your Monday slump.
