Twenty Twenty Studios Presents The American Premiere Of The Way Back To Yarasquin
July 15, 2013, Oakland, CA – Twenty Twenty Studios, announces that on Thursday, August 1st, 2013, at 7:00 PM, short documentary “The Way Back to Yarasquin” will premiere at Michaan’s Theater in Alameda, CA. A coffee cupping showcase will be led by Alex Roberts, owner of Roast Co. in Oakland and one of the roasters of Catracha coffee before the screening to learn more about the industry of specialty coffee both worldwide and specifically in Honduras. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
The film tells the captivating story of Mayra Orellana-Powell, a Bay Area coffee importer and farmer who grew up in a small village of Santa Elena, Honduras. Orellana-Powell experienced coffee-growing as a way of life representing the love of community, relationships and gratitude. “The film is an opportunity to visually connect people who drink our coffee in the Bay Area with the wonderful community of Santa Elena…” says Orellana-Powell. The film follows her journey to bridge two continents and two cultures through one universal language: Coffee.
