Moscow Coffee and Tea Expo: the new international exhibition for professionals of coffee and tea industry will be taking place in October

Several years informative project “PIR” successfully hosted “Coffee and Tea” forum, which started to be the traditional meeting spot of those, who is interested in the industry. This year informative project “PIR” has launched a new venue, totally based on the coffee and tea theme – Moscow Coffee and Tea Expo.

Exhibition will be hold 1-4 October and placed in International Exhibition Centre “Crocus Expo”, Moscow. Area will become more extended than the area of forum “Coffee and Tea” (5000 m²) including a grand exposition(more than 100 participating companies)and an expanded program– more than 80 training seminars. 7000 experts from Russia, CIS countries and Europe: international experts; baristas; judges of Russian and regional coffee championships; owners and managing directors of coffee houses, cafes, bars, restaurants, tea clubs, hotels, night clubs; producing leaders and equipment distributors.
Several thematic areas with professional events will work within the exhibition. The program will be organized not only for experts(baristas, bartenders, roasters), but also the people in business matters (owners of cafes, restaurants, bars and coffee houses, managing directors and judges) will be able to take part in interesting master classes.
The area Main Business Stage will become the epicenter of business talks (business oriented programs) For the first time within the exhibition we will introduce the “Ideal Coffee House”. Speakers will be  invited by the companies Nuova Simonelli (official technical partner of Main Business Stage, the professional coffee machine producer, that holds a leading position on the market, World Barista Championship 2012 – 2014 sponsor, www.nuovasimonelli.com) and Business Russia (official technical partner of Main Business Stage, group of companies that executes a high-quality complex of services and equipment for catering establishments, www.trapeza.ru). Speakers – Gwilym Davies, Colin Harmon and Fritz Storm.
The final stage of the program Coffeeducation League – Russia will be also launched within the area. The grand prize will be a trip to the Barista Camp in Japan, which will be held under the strict guidance of Fritz Storm and Kentaro Maruyama.
The area The Coffee Box will proudly hold seminars with high-qualified coffee people: Dan Streetman, Green Coffee Buyer at Irving Farm and the head judge of the American Barista Championship, Sonja Bjork Grant, is a barista, roaster, and barista trainer and the head judge of the World Barista Championship, and Ettore Scagliola, La Marzocco after sales specialist. La Marzocco (area’s technical partner, has gained a reputation and popularity around the world, creating a high-quality espresso machine, the company of masters, constantly improving technology to its customers and the industry, www.lamarzocco.com) and Traveler’s Coffee (area’s technical partner, network of coffee houses, which presents a range of products from around the world, exclusive supplier of 1883 Philibert Routin syrups, Mazzer grinders and La Marzocco coffee machines, www.travelerscoffee.ru) will provide The Coffee Box with the innovative coffee machines.
Thematic area Tea Garden will provide visitors with business workshops, totally based on the tea topic – guests will learn how to open and run the tea room, to get qualitative tea at the acceptable price, to increase profit in an institution and many other things. Herbal teas – the new trend, will be presented in a number of thematic master classes which will be carried out by Dmitriy Zhukov (the founder of a brand «Jivoy-travyanoy»), Yury Popov (CEO “ Kofeshenk”) and Alexander Grachev (founder of the project «Ivan tea house» and CEO of «Ivan tea Ros»). Tea Garden will present a special program of the national teas with experts from India and China. Doctor Sakkeer Hussain from India will run a seminar, “ From leaf to cup” which will show visitors a reral tea way; Gregory Potemkin, who is the resident of China for 5 years now, will share secrets of maintaining successful online Chinese tea store and the organization of tea tours.
Moscow Coffee and Tea Expo will also invent a new area called Samovar bar. Victor Enin (Head of club “Chahigh tea & ice cream”) will share his own achievements concerning creation of thematic tea bar and also will carry out a tea tasting . Besides, guests will be able to try national teas, reflecting features of national hospitality in each cup , and some beverages, based on tea.
The area of Brew Bar will provide visitors with alternative ways of coffee brewing – from Chemex to super automatic coffee machines; from classical espresso and cappuccino to the coctails on the coffee basis. Also high quality tea experts will show correctly brew the rea regarding to its look and grade. The area will be provided with equipment by Hario (official partner Brew Bar, www.hario.jp ).
The Lab. will be settled down for the first time within the exhibition. The area will launch the experiments with coffee and interactive master-classes with specialist of the topic «from bean to cup». Timur Dudkin, Head of green coffee quality for Mare Terra, Chief Trainer IECAFE, AST SCAE Trainer
(technical partner The Lab., www.fincasdecafe.es), will carry out Alternative Cup-tasting Championship. Russian Coffee Roasting Championship 2013 will also take place within the area of The Lab. The championship will be held under control IE Café representatives (area’s technical partner, iecafe.es), training center, sertified by SCAE. All winners will gain prizes from the Segers and unique cups from Reg C Barber.
Moscow Coffee and Tea Expo will also present a brand new and interesting area of the Super automatic battle – area of super automatic coffee machines. Coffee will be made for the tastings with the different coffee machines. Each of the visitors will be able to vote for the most interesting sample.
Every evening throughout all exhibition known Moscow coffee houses and tea rooms will host Moscow Coffee and Tea Festival. This is the evening program during which professional baristas and tea sommeliers will carry out not only trainings, but will also give fine opportunity to taste the tea and coffee masterpieces, also including unique author’s drinks in the informal atmosphere for all the guests. The final step of the festival will be the Barista Party – vivid evening with professionals and their friends.
