La Crème Coffee and Tea Wins Again at the North American Tea Championship
Dallas Texas based La Crème Coffee & Tea wins again at the 2013 North American Tea Championship in Hot Tea Class held recently at the World Tea Expo in Las Vegas. These latest awards for La Crème follow 2010’s winning teas; Peach Ginger Detox Tea was awarded 1st place in the Hot Tea category and Peach Ginger Green Tea took 3rd place in the Iced Tea Food Servicecategory.
The 2013 First Place Award in the Flavored White Tea category was earned with La Crème’s White Peach Tea. A Third Place Award in the Flavored Green Tea Category was earned with La Crème’s Guava Detox Tea.
To be selected as an award-winning tea in the North American Tea Championship, a judging panel comprised of professional cuppers assessed each submission through blind, organoleptic analysis of the following characteristics: dry leaf, brewed color, brewed aroma, brewed flavor, brewed mouth-feel and brewed harmony. The ratings of each characteristic were then used to calculate an overall numerical value on a 100-point scale, and winners were determined by rank.
