Labour Minister T.P. Ramakrishnan will visit the Peermade Tea Company in September for initiating steps to reopen the factory that was remaining closed for 15 years. He would hold discussions with labour union and management representatives there. On failing to reach a consensus, the government would take its own decision. The company has been told to submit its proposals for reviving functioning within a fortnight. The decisions were made at a meeting held at the Minister’s chamber on Friday.
