Local Coffee Roaster Expands Downtown

Mark Whitney - Reve Black Logo DistressedLAFAYETTE, LA – As downtown Lafayette expands its offerings in an attempt to rejuvenate itself, businesses from all over the state are now looking at the area as prime real estate and a chance to help the community and their own businesses.
Rêve Coffee Roasters, established in 2013 by Nathanael Johnson and Christopher Pickle, is one such business. Founded as “Acadiana’s First Micro Roaster.” Rêve has been roasting and selling specialty grade coffee around the world right here in the city at their former location of 1321 West Pinhook. With the acquisition of a new, higher capacity roaster and the expansion of their wholesale offerings, a bigger space was quickly needed. Their new location, opening Tuesday, September 15 at 200A Jefferson Street boasts four times the space. This will allow the business to quintuple their roasting capabilities while also growing their services to include a full café at the same location.
While their former building had them partnered with BiBi’s Patisserie, a gluten free bakery located on Pinhook, their new space will have a full breakfast, lunch, pastry, and dinner menu that will be conceptualized and prepared completely by the Rêve staff.
