Kuerig Green Mountain Closes California Plant – Contents Up for Public Auction
Castroville, California, USA – September 11, 2017 – In July of this year, Keurig made the decision at the corporate level to close its Keurig Green Mountain manufacturing and distribution center in Castroville, California. Keurig has owned and held operations in the warehouse since 2010. The company let all of its 183 employees know in May that they would be laid off, with options to transfer to other Keurig locations.
Online offerings open September 22, 2017, with auctions closing September 28, 2017; the Rabin will conduct a coast-to-coast equipment sale online, which can be found at rabin.com/buy/Auctions-Liquidations.aspx
All of the coffee roasting, blending, packaging and factory support equipment will be available an online auction sale hosted by Rabin Worldwide and Capital Recovery Group, starting September 22, 2017. Richard Reese, CEO of Rabin said, “Keurig is a name synonymous with quality coffee. This is a unique opportunity for coffee manufacturers to acquire Probat roasters and a Marion mixer. Both boutique coffee roasters and larger companies would find these pieces very beneficial to their roasting and packing operations.”
The auction will feature such pieces as a brand-new Marion batch process mix and blend system, several Schneider Packaging robotic case packing and coffee pod cartooning lines, and Probat R Series commercial batch roasting systems, models RN 1500 and RN 240.
