Community Coffee Company Donates Proceeds up to $150,000 to Hurricane Relief Efforts
Baton Rouge, LA, September 2017—True to its name, Community Coffee Company is committed to supporting its local communities affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. This fall, the company will donate proceeds up to $150,000 from the sale of Community® coffee products to benefit flood and hurricane relief efforts through the Salvation Army.
“We provided more than 558,424 cups of Community® coffee and tea along with equipment to flood evacuees and first responders in Texas and Florida, but knew we could do even more to help these communities rebuild,” said David Belanger, president & CEO of Community Coffee Company. “This initiative will help us support those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma the best way we know how—through our coffee.”
In Texas, Community Coffee Company will donate 10% of proceeds (up to $100,000) from the sale of all Community® coffee products to benefit flood relief efforts through Sunday, October 15, 2017. Consumers can support this effort by purchasing any Community® coffee product at retail grocery locations in Texas, including Albertsons, Brookshire’s, Costco, Fiesta, Kroger, Sam’s Club, Spring Market, Tom Thumb, Target, Walmart and more.
With every purchase of the Community® LSU Blend™ coffee in retail grocery locations in Louisiana, the company will donate 15% of those proceeds (up to $50,000) as well. From Thursday, September 28, 2017 – Sunday, November 30, 2017, consumers in Louisiana can support Community Coffee Company’s relief efforts by purchasing 16oz Community® LSU Blend™ coffee at Albertsons, Brookshire Brothers, Brookshire’s, Kroger, Market Basket, Rouses, Super One, Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, and independent grocers.
