On Heels Of 20th Anniversary, Taylor Maid Farms Begins Interior Construction On Flagship Coffee Bar & Roasting Facility In Sebastopol, Ca
[wpg width=”200″ height=”267″ align=”right”]Sebastopol, CA (November 10, 2012)- Contractors have begun interior tenant improvement inside Taylor Maid Farms’ flagship production facility slated to open January 2013 inside The Barlow. Contractors are framing interior office spaces, installing rough plumbing, and diving into design details for in their future 7,800 square foot, two-story facility that will house a coffee bar and roasting facility under one roof.
The Barlow, an old apple processing plant in Sebastopol, CA, is a community-centric artisanal project featuring winemakers, bread bakers, and farm to table advocates all on one campus. The development will be a foodie mecca, bringing together dynamic array of local food and spirit producers who celebrate handcrafted, locally –made products.
Founder Chris Martin explains: “Since our founding in 1993, our vision has been to open a café and engage customers on a deeper level, sharing our enthusiasm for the organic coffees we source from small farms around the world. Opening our doors to the public twenty years later is a full circle moment for us, a return to our founding vision.”
Customers will have a birds-eye view of the coffee bar from the mezzanine level, allowing them to observe baristas pulling espresso shots and pouring latte art. Glass walls will allow customers to watch the production team roasting coffee on the ultra energy efficient Loring Smart Roast.
According to Executive Director Rob Daly: “Each detail of the new space is designed to create a memorable coffee experience. From handcrafted espresso-based beverages, single origin pour overs, roasting tours, barista training classes, and community driven events, our new space will be the ultimate gathering place for coffee connoisseurs.”
