ALPHA DOMINCHE’S ICONIC STEAMPUNK AIDS BARISTA CHAMPION ON HIS QUEST TO CHANGE THE ITALIAN COFFEE CULTURE

MILAN, ITALY—November 2015— Celebrated Italian barista champion Francesco Sanapo is challenging Italy’s traditional, conservative coffee culture by placing a Steampunk, made by Alpha Dominche the leader in advanced coffee and tea brewing machines, in his specialty coffee shop.

As of October 1, 2015 Sanapo became the official distributor of the Steampunk in the Italian market. His coffee shop Ditta Artigianale is inspired by the techniques of specialty coffee culture in the US and is proud to brew on Alpha Dominche’s iconic Steampunk machine. Sanapo and his team are on a mission to bring better quality roasted beans and brewing techniques to the Italians, and the Steampunk is one of the primary tools in their arsenal.

Ditta Artigianale has enjoyed huge success since opening, and Sanapo plans to open a second coffee shop in early 2016. His vision is to inspire a new specialty coffee culture in Italy, and his success at last month’s HOST hospitality show in Milan indicates that the Italian market is ready for a change. Alpha Dominche’s Steampunk was showcased in Sanapo’s booth and sparked a buzz with visitors.
