Frostline Frozen Treats® added a new flavor packet, Birthday Cake, to its product line of soft serve, frozen yogurt and frozen beverage mixes. The popularity of childhood classics like birthday cake, s’mores and peanut butter and jelly sparked the creation of this new flavor. Its unveiling comes at a time where soft serve consumption sees a decline due to colder temperatures. Businesses can motivate winter soft serve sales by rotating seasonal flavor staples like gingerbread, peppermint and egg nog with specialty flavors like birthday cake, banana split and strawberry shortcake.
Flavor packets are added to liquid soft serve mix during the mixing process. The new birthday cake flavor packet turns traditional, cream-colored vanilla soft serve mix into blue soft serve that tastes like cake batter. “Our focus is helping foodservice operators provide year-round frozen treats,” said Jamie Schwartz. “I’m personally very excited about Birthday Cake! It screams fun, especially with sprinkles or whipped cream on top,” she adds. Each flavor packet yields 113 – ½ cup servings and is sold in packs of 12 or 36. Frostline Frozen Treats’ full product line includes 16 seasonal and specialty flavored flavor packets, chocolate and vanilla soft serve mix, frozen yogurt mix as well as frozen cappuccino, shake and smoothie base mixes.
