NEW MILFORD, Conn., Dec. 14, 2016 – Torie & Howard is rolling out its new trial size bag of organic Chewie Fruities® candy for retail at the 2017 Winter Fancy Food Show with a countertop and shelf display carton, Booth 762.
The retail display contains eight 1.27-ounce trial size packages of assorted Chewie Fruities, said Torie Burke, company co-founder. It takes up just 4- by 5 1/2-inches of space and was designed to satisfy a consumer desire for a convenience size of the candy that can be consumed on the spot or stashed in a purse, lunch box or carry on bag, Burke said. “We see this as an item that spans a variety of retail formats including specialty food, grocery, coffee and gift shops, and convenience,” she said.
The trial size has a suggested retail price of $1.69 and contains a single serving of individually wrapped pieces in an assortment of three flavors. It is available eight to a case and 12 cases to a master case. A 150-bag bulk case of the trial size package was announced for foodservice in October.
