Banana Dang: Downtown Oceanside Coffeehouse to Kick Off San Diego Caffeine Crawl North County 2017

DOWNTOWN OCEANSIDE—Banana Dang Coffee will kick off San Diego’s North County Caffeine Crawl on Friday, January 20, 2017. The coffee retailer launched in Oceanside in January 2015 after relocating from the Caribbean surfing town of Rincon, Puerto Rico where it operated from 2007 to 2014. This date also marks Banana Dang’s 2nd-year anniversary at the Oside location.

Owners Mario Jimenez and Thanh-Thanh Dang will share their unique experience running a coffeehouse at origin to the many caffeinated Crawlers. Dang will present single-origin Puerto Rican coffee paired with unique island offerings from Chef Beau Bonham.

4th Annual Caffeine Crawl also marks the first time Oceanside’s coffee scene is represented in North County. Banana Dang originally participated as a Pop-Up at Ironsmith Coffee Roasters in Encinitas at Caffeine Crawl North County 2016.

San Diego’s coffee scene continues to grow into one of the most exciting coffee events on the West Coast. The local scene is one of the most thriving in the country—throw in beautiful sunny weather and there’s a match that can’t be beat.

New line-up includes over 25 local roasters, cafes and companies — many longtime industry vets and several new shops. There is a total of 10 routes, each with a different roster of participants and times.

Grab your travel mug and caffeine-drinking friends, as we sip up the exciting city of San Diego!
