URBAN FARMER DEBUTS RIFF COLD BREWED COFFEE
PORTLAND, OR:
Urban Farmer restaurant celebrated Riff’s launch with coffee infused cocktails and small bites on November 13th. An estimated 100 guests were in attendance.
Jeff Brown, GM of Food & Beverage for Sage Hospitality (Urban Farmer’s parent company), cut the ceremonial red ribbon to introduce Riff’s inaugural tap handle. “Our partnership with Riff allows us to create a rich coffee experience,” Brown said. “Their creativity supports our vision of creating places for people to go to, not go through.”
Based in Bend, Oregon, Riff becomes the newest entrant in the hyper-growth cold brewed coffee category with 460 percent growth from 2015 to 2017, according to a recent report from Mintel.
Riff began producing small-batch offerings in kegs last month. RTD bottles for retail and nitrogenated kegs for restaurants and bars will be introduced in February following the opening of their production facility.
